What has happened to me so far today (and it’s only 8:30am):
1) White standard poodle dyed green.
2) Locked upstairs with a spiderweb of rubberbands and a laughing 11 year old.
3) Assaulted with sillystring
4) Found water balloons attached to every faucet
5) Opened silverware drawer and found… nothing
6) Poured milk on cereal. It was green. and not from age.
7) Pulled up toiletseat and a firecracker exploded.
8) Toilet water was green.
9) Found several cans of catfood in the fridge. It does not belong there.

I hate this day. Except for the revenge part…

What I’ve done to others so far today:
1) Put dry dogfood in the cereal bowls and served with green milk to laughing 11-year old and 6-year old.
2) Replaces SO’s car key with a key that looks just like it but doesn’t work. (Had a lot fun getting it made at Ace, lol.)
3) Packed birdseed for 11-year old and 6-year old for their school snack.
4) Now off to call mother and tell her I’m pregnant. Or moving to India.

Through one of the RWA chapters, I’m taking an on-line workshop taught by author Lori Wilde. I’m not familiar with Lori Wilde’s work, but having taken this workshop, I’m going to hunt down her books next time I’m at the bookstore.

She’s perfected the art of creating a page-turner. I’ve always liked reading page turners, regardless of genre, and I’ve tried to make each of my books a work that readers can’t put down. This workshop has really helped me hone this part of my craft.

Her most helpful tip so far? Add a disaster to each scene. She doesn’t mean add a hurricane or stock market crash. A disaster can be a small thing. A husband failing to bring a wife a cup of tea can be a disaster, if he’s brought her that cup of tea every morning for the last fifteen years.

Thanks, Lori! And thanks NEORA, who sponsored her. I look forward to the rest of the workshop.

First, congrats to Ingrid and Kimba. They won one of my books through my newsletter. Ingrid is getting EROS ISLAND and Kimba is getting RUNNING WILD. I hope they enjoy them!

Second, congrats to Marenzi. She won a copy of Sharon Page’s HOT SILK from my myspace blog.

Third, I don’t know what the weather looks like in your neck of the woods, but it’s snowing like mad here today, and it’s supposed to snow like this for another 12 hours.

I’m supposed to meet with my new editor tomorrow in NYC. Wonder if it will get canceled?

Ms. Frauke at Crocodesigns is getting famouser and famouser. If you see a beautiful romance website, chances are, she designed it. She designed the site for Sharon, Page, DearAuthor, Sasha White, Crystal Jordan and others.

With seven books on the shelves now and two more coming out next year, I thought it was time for me to get a big-girl site.

My old site was lovely. It was made with love and hope and support from many people, and I thank everyone who helped me. As I retire it today, I send it thoughts of honor and thanks.

And I welcome my new site with a big squee!
